ADAS and NIAB have joined forces with Bayer in the most comprehensive national study of cabbage stem flea beetle (CSFB) management with growers this spring. This follows last season’s inaugural study which brought together the experience of more than 220 growers to highlight the scale of the problems caused by CSFB, the key factors responsible for the damage, and the techniques proving most helpful in managing this troublesome pest in practice.
This year’s study is designed to build on last year's results by comparing and contrasting farm experience under last autumn’s generally better crop establishment conditions to provide increasingly good IPM guidance for growers.
Click here to complete the CSFB questionnaire. The survey will take no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete. In return for their time, growers will be entered into a prize draw to win one of two award-winning Sony WH-1000XM3 noise-cancelling wireless headphones.
As well as feedback ahead of this autumn’s plantings, the intelligence it provides will form part of current ADAS-led AHDB research and NIAB-led csfbSmart projects to reduce the impact of CSFB across the country.
