ADAS and AHDB Summer Open Day
Published on 07 June 2021
Tue, 22 June 2021
8:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Middle House Farm, Burley Gate, Herefordshire
Join ADAS and AHDB to see the plot demonstrations and discuss pests, weeds and diseases with technical updates and experts on hand.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, sessions will be run throughout the day over 4 dedicated slots (8:30am, 11am, 1:30pm, 4pm) and will be limited to a maximum of 20 people each time.
Each session will last around 90 minutes within which you are free to visit any of the demonstrations that interest you and speak to our experts. At the end of the 90 minutes, we will turn the event around for the next session.
This year you must book on one of the specific time slots, as we will have to refuse entrance to anyone turning up to the event without a booking.
Demonstrations will focus on:
- Full winter wheat Recommended List
- Wheat disease management
- Weed control
- Management of cabbage stem flea beetle
Experts will be on hand to discuss each demonstration and provide insight into the wheat variety resistance ratings and yield outlook for the year ahead.
BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending this event.
Refreshments will not be provided on this occasion, but bottled water will be available.
We will be outside for the plot tours and sessions, so please bring appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather. Hand sanitiser stations will be available and social distancing measures will be in place.
